Division Head responsible for overseeing the operation of 16 different revenue streams and providing guidance and support to the success of the ship’s overall financial result on a estimate annual figure of over $80 million (USD). Directly supervising 8 areas including Future Cruise Sales, Port Shopping Program, Shore Excursions, Casino, Steiner Day Spa, Image Inc. Photo Gallery, Park West Art Gallery and LVMH – Starboard Shops Onboard. Duties include creating a flow of events and activities onboard to maximize revenue opportunities and ensure outstanding guest experiences. Role is also responsible for compliance with shipboard rules and regulations, SOLAS (Safety of Life At Sea), ISO 9000 and ISO 14000.

Shore Excursions Manager
July 2010 – March 2014 (3 years 9 months)

Responsible for all aspects of the operation of the department, including but not limited to staff coaching, training and scheduling, developing revenue and budget plans and monitoring quality of shore excursions. Provided guests with a destination experience that goes from the planning of their day to delivering a product that exceeds expectations. Developed the Port Lecturer program creating, monitoring and adapting marketing strategies to ensure revenue is maximized based on onboard demographics and trends. Promoted the department by creating and implementing a marketing plan with promotional material in all medias, working also as a Port Lecturer in the absence of one.

Port Lecturer
March 2011 – September 2011 (7 months)

Promoted the Shore Excursions department onboard aiming to maximize onboard revenue by providing guests a complete destination experience on port activities and shopping ashore. Responsible, in conjunction with the
Shore Excursions Manager for creating and implementing a revenue plan that exceeded company’s targets both on shore excursions and shopping ashore in 20%. Promoted the department and recommended stores through lectures, events and onboard activities. Prepared and creates promotional material in all medias to maximize the department’s exposure onboard. Ensured shopping program is meeting vendor’s expectations adapting selling strategies according to demographics and economical climate. Supervised and reported sales by providing tools to improve the program on both revenue and guest satisfaction levels.

Assistant Explorations! Manager
October 2008 – July 2010 (1 year 10 months)

Responsible for promoting, selling and managing shore excursions on the different itineraries visited (Alaska, South America, Mexican Riviera, Panama Canal & Caribbean). Provide assistance to onboard management on revenue, budget and profit reports as per SQM standards.

Cruise Director’s Staff
September 2007 – October 2008 (1 year 2 months)

Provided activities for all guests including hosting, creating and executing game shows, parties and other events. It also included working with the Sports Staff on the sports related activities and helping out the Explorations! department on tour dispatch.
